Cookie declaration
This is a translation. If the English and Norwegian versions differ, the Norwegian version applies.
1. Introduction
Here we briefly describe how vargtech.com uses storage in your browser, and how we collect simple visitor statistics. The aim is to be clear without overstating it.
2. Storing your cookie choice
When you respond to our information banner, we store your answer locally in your browser (what is known as localStorage), so that we remember your choice on your next visit. This concerns the banner only — not marketing.
To be completely clear: the site uses no optional cookies — neither marketing nor tracking cookies. There are therefore no optional categories to switch off. The choice in the banner only records that you have responded to the information, so that the banner is not shown again.
You can change or view the information again at any time via the «Cookie settings» button at the bottom right of the page.
3. Cloudflare
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which handles DNS, content delivery (CDN), firewall and protection against attacks (WAF), among other things. Cloudflare may process technical data as part of normal operation and security. This is not something you switch on and off via the cookie banner on our side.
4. Cloudflare Turnstile (contact form)
On the contact page we use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish real visitors from automated bots (bot protection on the form). Turnstile loads only on the contact page, directly from challenges.cloudflare.com, and does not run on other pages. To make that assessment, Turnstile may store data in your browser and process technical data. When the form is submitted, our server verifies the submission with Cloudflare, and your IP address is processed by Cloudflare in that connection. This applies only when you actually use the contact form.
5. Cloudflare Web Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to get simple, aggregated visitor statistics about use of the site. The solution uses no marketing cookies from VargTech, and we do not use Google Analytics. The statistics are used to understand traffic at an overall level and improve the website.
Measurement starts on page load, that is before you make a choice in the banner. That is defensible because the solution is cookieless and aggregated: it sets no cookies and does not identify you as an individual.
6. What we do not use
- We do not use Google Analytics on this website.
- We use no marketing cookies from VargTech.
7. Third parties
Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) Role: DNS, content delivery (CDN), security (WAF), bot protection on the contact form (Turnstile) and visitor statistics (Web Analytics). Privacy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy Resend, Inc. (USA) Role: Email delivery when you submit the contact form. Privacy: resend.com/legal/privacy-policy Infrastructure provider (server capacity) Role: Supplies the server capacity the website and the contact solution run on. VargTech itself operates everything running on the server; the provider supplies capacity only, but has technical access and takes backups. Access logs at the provider's own level are normally deleted or rotated within up to 7 days as a matter of common practice — the exact time may vary. This concerns the provider's own access logs. VargTech's own application log has a different deadline (deleted after 14 days) — see the privacy statement for details.
8. Managing data in your browser
You can delete browser data for a specific site or block storage. That may affect whether the site remembers your choice from the banner.
